Woo Hoo!!

Well - just about the most exciting thing ever happened today! Christian won a Wii console and a Star Wars Clone Wars game to go with it! Katia was home sick today and was actually napping on the sofa when the package came. Martin brought the package in and commented that it was heavy and wondered who it came from. I got a little nervous - thinking maybe Christian's been doing some unauthorised online shopping - so I opened it up. It took a few moments to sink in what it was and then I figured that it must've been a prize from a competition both kids had entered at Sky.com. About half an hour later Katia woke up and Martin showed her what Christian had won - and for the rest of the day she was counting down the minutes until Christian got home from school!! Later that day when the regular post came, a certificate of congratulations plus the game arrived with it.


We still can't believe his luck and if anything, I don't think Christian actually realises how lucky he is. This is the 2nd prize he's won; the first prize was when he was about 5; he drew a picture and sent it into Action Man magazine and it was published and he won a 'Doctor X' action figure. Even then he always said "when I win the prize...." and I would try to tell him that he probably won't, but now that he's won two prizes... well - we think he should start picking our lottery numbers from now on!!
