Sports Day 2009

That time of year has come around again...it was supposed to be yesterday, but cancelled due to rain (seems that happens every year too!) As our school has a new Head Master (mistress?) this year it wasn't quite as organised as usual and she admitted that it was the children who were guiding her! Katia was super-keen this year; she even made a sign for her "team" (Yellow - 'Dinas') and brought in a mascot to match! I think they both enjoyed themselves and tried their best. Katia came second in her race; just losing out by a step. There are about 14 boys in Christian's class, so they had 2 heats. He came 2nd in his heat and 4th overall in the final. Unfortunately he was boxed in by the boys on either side of him in the final and though he did his best to push through - it was dampened a bit afterwards by the other boys saying that he'd cheated. I showed him the photos so he could see for himself that he was not to blame and not surprisingly, the other two boys did not care to see the photos! I know Christian wasn't bothered about not winning but he really didn't like being called a cheat!
