Message from Canada
Me and the kids arrived safe and sound in Calgary on Friday night after a fairly uneventful flight. Our flight was delayed by about 90 minutes due to a "technical issue" which was eventually resolved by powering down the plane and turning it back on. Hmmm.... just like when your computer crashes or gets stuck - when in doubt - switch it off and turn it back on. Despite the pilot sounding less than convincing that everything was perfect "that seems to have solved the problem" there were no more hiccups.
My mom and Larry were there to greet us and had already booked us all into a hotel which was adjacent to the airport (Delta Calgary if you're interested - very nice!!) After a leisurely morning which including a swim for the kids and a great breakfast we drove to Edmonton. The weather forecast for Calgary was 31°C and not much cooler for Edmonton - perfect weather for a lightening storm which started around dinner time and lasted most of the evening. Christian was especially thrilled with it and even took video commentary - haha!
