Achoo!

Ugh... I am really suffering with my allergies. It started on the weekend and there's no sign of improvement yet. On top of the usual symptoms, I am completely wiped out - too tired to do anything. I might venture to the pharmacy and see if they have a sinus rinse (as has been recommended by a fellow sufferer). I am willing to try anything.

Katia got her Tap Exam results back last week - she got an A! She also had a ballet exam on Sunday, but I expect we won't know the results for at least 6 weeks. One of the dance teachers has approached me and suggested that either Katia join the older class after her usual dance class (so 2 hours of dancing) or perhaps join another class on Saturdays, which is run privately by this particular teacher and she was very worried to appear as though she is trying to 'poach' Katia. It seems my suspicions have been justified and that she should have progressed further than she has. This is in part, due to the fact that the teacher has "her hands full" with a few of the other students and they are holding the class back ... plus there are barely any pupils that are the same age as Katia, so basically it seems like they've been waiting until everyone is ready to take an exam so her progress has been held back. It's nice to have this validated as I had suspected it for some time, but I'm unsure where exactly we should go from here. She's got a lesson tomorrow, so perhaps I'll know more after that. The classes she takes now are conveniently located across the street.... the Saturday lessons are in a neighbouring town - not too far away, but it's hardly across the road.

I had a parent/teacher meeting with her teacher at school last week and as expected, she is doing very well in everything, no problems and nothing to even improve on. As a parent it's very nice to hear, but it was just a little predictable! I'm not complaining though!

The kids are both off school on Monday due to a teacher training day (Inset) - first time they've had the same Inset Day since Christian moved up to the secondary school. We're going to leave early Sunday and possibly head down to South Wales (Pembrokeshire area). We've not visited there since before the kids were born, so it should make a nice change. Hopefully I'll have some photos to share next week.
