Our news.....

The restaurant is officially on the market - we are for sale! Ok - this is not really news for many of you as you know we made the decision to sell 18 months ago; but we kept it quiet for nearly a year from everyone here, including our kids. We finally told the kids, Martin's family and a few staff members in September, thinking we'd be putting it on the market in the next few weeks, and though we still hadn't contacted any estate agents, by October it was the talk of the town! We didn't actually get 'round to getting the estate agents in until January and then another few weeks before we decided which company to go with and the wait from then until now has been due to getting energy certificates, etc.. (and I personally think they forgot about us). Anyway, we're not expecting a quick sale (though that would be nice) and we're happy to carry on as always; we *think* we're in for a good season and the longer we're here the more chance we have to save money for our big move back to Canada. Yes, we have decided to move back - for many, many reasons but mostly to do with family and I am both excited and scared by the idea of repatriating. We have no intention of going into the restaurant business in Canada - after nearly 15 years we are both ready for a change and for a little bit of a more 'normal' lifestyle.
