Not such a good deal after all?

On Sunday morning I ordered Katia a new bike from an online company. It's a relatively good brand selling for a good price - including free delivery. On Sunday night I got an email from the company explaining that the 2008 version which was selling online had sold out but would we be happy with the 2009 model for the same price? Oooh, yes please! That sounded like an even better deal. Well, it came today and the first thing out of the box was the seat - and it's damaged at the front. No big deal - I phoned them up and they'll send a new one; due here in a few days. Martin got back from his mega-hike at around 2 pm (he started at 4:15 am!!) and put the bike together but discovered that the back wheel is warped. :( Not good. Maybe it just needs the spokes adjusted but we'd need to take it to a bike shop to do that and he doesn't want to take it to the place we usually go because he didn't buy the bike from them! Anyway - I've left a message with the online company and I suppose will hear back from them soon. All in all - a little disappointing, but Katia is at least happy to be getting a new bike - even if it's not quite ready to ride yet.
