Ouch!

As I was answering the phone this morning, I slammed my foot into the footstool and hit my little toe very hard! I think maybe I broke it; it's very swollen and has turned purple - in fact everytime I look at it it's more purple than it was before. I've put some arnica cream on it plus taken some arnica tablets (and some painkillers!) but I am a little bit worried about how quickly it might heal. We have a very busy weekend coming up (Monday is a Bank Holiday) and I am working Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. Eeks!

I suppose compared to Martin's knee it's nothing though...

I've just glanced at my Accuweather forecast which says today is mostly cloudy. Actually, today has mostly been sunny though a bit breezy. On the whole, it's still quite cool for this time of year but it's actually very pleasant today.

Totally off topic...here's a cute photo of Katia. They recently had their school photos taken and she was really disappointed with hers. She's been posing for photos with a fake smile for so long that she doesn't know how to smile naturally in a photo anymore. I snapped this one while she was pretending to throw a ball at me!

Unbeknownst that Katia had said exactly the same thing when she saw my toe, Christian exclaimed "Violet, you're turning violet!" Funny kids!
