Proud Mama

Had a meeting with Christian's teacher yesterday and he is doing well - which we knew anyway - but there seems to be a recurring theme that we've been hearing since he was about 5. She says that he is very creative and has an incredible imagination; his stories are so different to the others; they stand out for their creativity and detail. The first time we heard this was when he saw a speech therapist when he was 5; she showed him various pictures of scenes involving stuff that has the usual problematic speech sounds. She showed him the pictures and then asked what was happening in them and afterwards told us that she was completely blown away by his answers as he didn't answer with the usual one or two words - there seemed to be a story behind each picture. She said that she could listen to him all day - oh and as an aside that she didn't hear any speech problems to be concerned about.

Christian says he wants to be a film director - perhaps he should be considering screen writer or novelist?? LOL

Last week I also met with Katia's teacher - who had nothing but good things to say about her. She is doing well and loves school. Ahhhhh.....
