Happy New Year!
Ok, so we're already more than halfway through January, but this year is still relatively new, isn't it? I feel a bit like a broken record... sorry, not posted here in awhile. I'm going to blame Facebook. It's so easy to post little snippets of life on there, that I forget (am too lazy) to post in more detail here.
As you probably know, we've just returned from a 3-week holiday to Canada. We had a really nice time, spent Christmas with my mom and step-dad and their (our) extended family - it was lovely. We really didn't want to leave. :( The weather was very kind to us this time; not only did the sun shine (as usual) but it was really very mild. Not sure when we'll get back - would be nice to go again in the summer - but only if I can find enough staff, and that's been difficult the last few years. In fact, I need to find staff asap as I've got 2 girls on maternity leave which only leaves me with 3 part-time wait staff - which won't do when we resume our full-time opening hours in March.

Christian is returning today from a week's holiday in Vienna with his girlfriend, Catherine. Looking forward to having him home and hearing about his first trip without mum & dad!
PS - if you are wondering if that is our cat on the cover, no, it's not. I noticed that my blog theme was gone and so picked a new theme and the cat came with it. I'm not quite sure I'll keep it, but I'm not quite sure if I'm going to try keeping the blog updated, either.
