Shattered!

I know it's been AGES since I updated here! In my defense, we have been really busy! We've been working hard and also going for quite a few days out on our days off! We have just returned (very late last night) from a quick trip to Blackpool. We headed to Blackpool on Sunday - got there late afternoon and met some friends for dinner. Yesterday we first visited a Waterpark which was good, but not a patch on West Edmonton Mall's. After lunch we went to Pleasure Beach Amusement Park - which was very good. We have been before but this time was better since the park was much quieter and we didn't have to queue (much) for the rides. We left Blackpool around 6 pm and, with a stop for dinner, didn't get back until after 11 pm - so we are all feeling a wee bit tired today!

Not much news to tell - the restaurant has been steadily getting busier and last Saturday night was one of our busiest ever. We are hoping England gets kicked out of the World Cup very soon; many of our customers are English visitors so the days England plays are quieter than usual!

The kids are doing well and only have another 4 weeks left of school. Last week Katia competed in a multi-school athletics competition and came second in long jump for her year. Tomorrow she competes at the next level, which is for all schools in the Snowdonia area. IF (and that's a very big IF) she places high enough she goes onto the next level after that, which is for all of North Wales - but we won't hold our breath as most children competing at this stage are already involved in competitive sports and Katia has only even practiced a few times!

There's still been no interest in the restaurant although the estate agents must have placed an ad fairly recently as many regular visitors have started mentioning it, not realising we've been on the market for a year already. I am seriously considering finishing with the current agency we're listed with as we've had no feedback or communication whatsoever in the 12 months we've been with them, and if and when we eventually sell, I think I will begrudge paying them their commission when I don't think they've actually "worked" for it. At any rate, we've got a meeting with a national agency next week which lists only commercial properties. Not sure if we will end up listing with them or not, but we'll hear what they have to say anyway.

ETA: Katia came 2nd!!! She goes forward to compete in Colwyn Bay for the North Wales finals! WOW!!
